If you follow TechBubble then by now Technology Will Save Us should need no introduction. For those of you who haven't come across them yet they are an innovational company reshaping the world of education with modern technology. In case you missed my previous articles about this revolutionary company you can find out more in the “Children use Technology Will Save Us DIY Synth Kit to create electro music video inspired by German electro group, Kraftwerk” and “Makers of the BBC micro:bit launch their DIY gamer kit with Arduino Uno core, and we get to test run it!” articles.
The guys at Tech Will Save Us love to find new ways to inspire children to learn about modern technologies that will help them shape their own futures. Recently the team got in touch with me to let me know that they have come up with a very unique idea using one of their kits, the DIY Speaker Kit with an umbrella!
The team and their Inventor Superstars, Anoop and Ajooni, have recently embedded their DIY Speaker Kit into an umbrella, creating the Umbrella-Discotheque. This cool invention uses one of the parts of the kit known as the Exciter which can be attached to pretty much anything to turn it into a speaker. Along with the Exciter the team also added some funky disco lights to transform the umbrella into a mobile disco device.
This is just one cool way that kids can use the DIY Speaker Kit to learn about technology and how it works, combine this knowledge with their imagination and there is no end of possibilities of what can be made. The kit would be a perfect present for Christmas so if you want to help your kids learn more about technology take a look at the kit! Check out the DIY Speaker Kit or visit the Tech Will Save Us store to check out all of their other kits including the DIY Electro Dough Kit, the DIY Gamer Kit and many more.
As always it is great to see what innovational ways they are coming up with to help teach the next generation, and this generation, about technology. I look forward to sharing more of their work with you in the future so keep your eyes open!
