Following on from the article I wrote earlier this week in the TechBubble Artificial Intelligence Blog, (https://www.techbubble.info/blog/Microsoft-Cortana/artificial-intelligence/entry/Cortana-Microsofts-Artificial-Intelligence-Virtual-Assistant), here is some further information about another technology battle that is emerging during the current tech bubble. Back in August I wrote an article introducing the Google Now Launcher (https://plus.google.com/115462608306132257847/posts/Ezo9ddKhPNP), Google's Personal Assistant, similar to Siri which uses narrow Artificial Intelligence to assist you in day to day tasks. Google Now is currently being advertized on UK TV and has been a favorite over Siri for some time. With the recent introduction of Cortana, a battle to be the most advanced A.I Personal Assistant has now begun and Siri seems to be falling far behind! For years Apple's Siri has lead the way providing on demand information via voice control. Next to be released was Google Now, which brought all types of cool features such as cards that are displayed based on your history and location, more recently integration with OpenTable allows Google Now to reserve tables for you at your favorite restaurants. The last Personal Assistant to join the race is Microsoft's Cortana. Cortana was released initially through the Windows 8.1 Developer Preview. (See Cortana link above) You can find many YouTube videos online now playing the Personal Assistants against each other and so far it seems to be Google Now that is in the lead closely followed by Cortana. Check out the video below which shows some tests done on the three A.I's. I will be introducing more ways that Artificial Intelligence exist in our world today in the future so make sure to bookmark this blog.
